At the Baltimore Book Fair

Interviews can be ordeals, but not when Baltimore’s immensely popular and gracious Marc Steiner is the interviewer. Yesterday the poet Kim Jensen and I spoke with Marc on The Marc Steiner Show and read some of our poems. It was a celebratory occasion because Kim had just received her copies of Bread Alone, her book of poems published by Syracuse University Press. It’s a handsome production, and I’m reading it now. You can hear our interview with Marc here.

Kim and I will read tomorrow, Saturday, at 3 p.m. at the Creative Cafe on Baltimore’s Mount Vernon Square as part of the annual book fair. We’ll read from Bread Alone and my book of poems, Far From Algiers. Signed copies will be available.  I’ll also read some new poems.  On Sunday at 10:30 a.m. I’ll speak to the Baltimore Ethical Culture Society in the Congress Hotel. MY subject will be News As Gleefully Packaged Anxiety.—DM
